RSS stands for Real Simple Syndication and is a vehicle for people interested in certain topics to quickly get new information, news and other content without having to wade through tons of web pages. RSS pages are generated in XML and are not meant for the human eye, but rather for RSS readers or aggregators.
How does it work?
Most popular browsers and email clients allow you to subscribe to RSS feeds by simply entering the URL of the feed you wish to follow.
For an EzineArticles.com niche specific example, say you would like to stay informed on the recent articles published in the EzineArticles.com Arts and Entertainment niche.
